DA Blodgett Teams Up With AG Coakley to Fight Hunger
The Office of Essex District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett is teaming up with Attorney General Martha Coakley in support of her “Legal Food Frenzy 2012,” to fight hunger across the Commonwealth.
This is the second year that District Attorney Blodgett has joined with Attorney General Coakley to benefit the Merrimack Valley Food Bank, which in turn distributes the donations to other food banks throughout Essex County.
Last year District Attorney Blodgett’s Office contributed 145 pounds of food and nearly $700 in cash to the cause. Food banks across Massachusetts provide more than 500,000 people with emergency relief every year.
“It’s important that we all do our part to help those in need during these difficult economic times,” said District Attorney Blodgett. “I’m very pleased to join Attorney General Coakley and many other entities from the legal community in this effort.”
Food or monetary donations must be received by Friday, April 13. For more information about this initiative to help people in need in our cities and towns, please click here.
