Ipswich Man Sentenced for Indecent Assault and Battery
Newburyport Superior Court Judge Richard Welch today sentenced Justin Schofield, 34, of Ipswich, to 3-4 years in state prison.
Schofield was found guilty last Friday of indecent assault and battery following a four-day trial. The jury deliberated for about 2 ½ hours before returning its verdict.
Essex Assistant District Attorney Kim Faitella proved that on May 31, 2010, Schofield indecently assaulted a female acquaintance at the home of mutual friends in Ipswich.
He was arrested in June following an investigation by Ipswich Police Detective Peter Dziadose.
Schofield was represented by Attorney Patrick Morgan.
