Lynn Man Found Guilty of Child Rape
A Salem Superior Court jury found Salvador Fuentes, 42, guilty of child rape and indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 today. Judge Douglas Wilkins will sentence Fuentes on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 2:00 pm.
Essex Assistant District Attorney Marcia Slingerland proved that Fuentes raped and assaulted the victim, who was 11 at the time, on multiple occasions between January 1, 2007 and August 1, 2008.
The jury deliberated over the course of two days following the three day trial.
Fuentes was represented by Attorney Stephen Limone.
Slingerland thanked Lynn Detective Joe Chadbourne and retired Lynn Detective Robert Rawston for their assistance with the case.
