Weigh Your Options During Annual Enrollment

"What will my monthly rate be?" is one of the most frequently asked questions at health fairs. Although monthly premium is an important consideration, it is only one of many factors that will help determine your satisfaction with a health plan. Be sure to investigate and weigh other plan attributes, which may or may not be important to you.

  • Determine which plans you are eligible for
  • Review the health plan pages for an overview of your health plan options, their structure, and most frequently used service co-pays and deductibles.  Weigh the following:
        • Are there out-of-network benefits and do you need them?
        • Do you prefer having a Primary Care Physician to coordinate your care?
        • Monthly rates
      • Contact the health plans you are considering to find out:

        • Information on other health plan benefits that are not described in the Benefit Decision Guide
        • If your doctors and hospitals are in the network
Which co-pay tiers your doctors and hospitals are in (only applies to Non Medicare plans)
