GIC Coordinator Information GIC Coordinators, located at each agency, process all GIC benefits for active employees. Participating municipalities have a benefits coordinator who processes the initial paperwork for retiring municipal teachers. This section provides information geared to GIC Coordinators. If you are an active employee, and are not sure who your GIC Coordinator is, contact your Human Resource Department for the name and location of your agency's GIC Coordinator. New employees can enroll in GIC benefits within 10 business days of their employment date. If your employees ask you for advice on choosing a health plan, keep in mind that "one size does not fit all". Be sure to give employees a Benefit Decision Guide to assist them with making a selection. See the Annual Enrollment page for additional information and the Annual Enrollment Tools section for other decision materials such as the rate sheet, Health Plan and Leapfrog Report Card, and a health plan decision worksheet. Annual enrollment/New Hire forms are available on line. See the your GIC Coordinator manual for step by step procedures for annual enrollment and all other procedures. GIC Coordinators - Be sure to check the GIC Coordinator News section of this site for important updates. If you do not receive email updates from the GIC, we probably do not have your email address. Please send it and your agency/division number to us using the online contact form.
