• Working Together to End Homelessness

In late 2008, the Civic Engagement Subcommittee of the Interagency Council on Housing and Homelessness disseminated a survey to targeted providers across the Commonwealth to understand their connection to the larger mission of ending homelessness. Their active engagement in the effort is critical, and so is yours.

The survey targeted specific groups that have optimum opportunity for making a difference in this effort; government, schools and youth, philanthropists, the business community and consumers of housing resources. Areas that were covered included: volunteerism and direct service; education and awareness; advocacy; community organizing; and resource development.

Continued efforts like these will change the face of homelessness in the Commonwealth as it will take all of us to make important progress.
