GOVERNOR PATRICK NOMINATES ACCOMPLISHED LOCAL LAWYERS AS CLERK MAGISTRATES OF THE FITCHBURG AND UXBRIDGE DISTRICT COURTS
"Patrick and Gerald have the proven smarts, people skills, and leadership abilities necessary to be an effective Clerk Magistrate," Governor Patrick said. "Beyond those essential skills, they are familiar with and committed to the courts and communities they will serve."
Patrick J. Malone is an experienced civil and criminal litigator who is currently a Partner in the Leominster firm, Gazourian & Malone. Over the course of his 15-year legal career, Malone has represented clients in a range of matters, including criminal defense, real estate, business, domestic relations, and personal injury. He also serves as a Special Prosecutor for the Office of the District Attorney, Middle District, and as a Contract Negotiator and Manager for Hewlett-Packard's Global Supply Chain Services Global Contracts Group. A graduate of Fitchburg State College and Massachusetts School of Law, Malone lives in Leominster with his wife and two young children. He is slated to fill the vacancy created by the death of the Honorable Ronald B. Ingemie.
Gerald A. Lemire has, since 1998, operated an Uxbridge general litigation practice in which he represents individuals and small businesses in civil and criminal matters, and also developers and local lending institutions in real estate matters. He began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Worcester and then served as Chief of Staff and Legal Counsel to the Massachusetts State Senate's Committee on Public Service. A graduate of Assumption College and New England School of Law, Lemire is a lifelong resident and active member of the Uxbridge community, where he currently resides with his wife and newborn daughter. Lemire is slated to fill the vacancy on the Uxbridge District Court created by the retirement of the Honorable Peter D. Rigero.
