CHRISTINE M. ROACH SWORN IN AS SUPERIOR COURT ASSOCIATE JUSTICE

BOSTON - Monday, March 3, 2008 - Before hundreds of well wishers, new Superior Court Judge Christine M. Roach was administered the oath of office by Governor Deval Patrick on February 29, 2008 in the John Adams Courthouse. Roach, a Harvard Law School graduate and former law clerk to the late Honorable David S. Nelson of the United States District Court, founded and shared one of Boston's first all-women law practices with other highly regarded attorneys, including the late SJC Justice Martha Sosman, the late Ellen Carpenter, and current Superior Court Associate Justice Leila Kern. Judge Roach fills the vacancy created when former Associate Justice Nonnie S. Burnes stepped down from the bench to lead the state's insurance division.
