GOVERNOR PATRICK ANNOUNCES JUDICIAL NOMINATION TO HOLYOKE DISTRICT COURT
BOSTON - Thursday, July 8, 2010 - Governor Patrick today nominated a Springfield attorney and former prosecutor, Bethzaida Sanabria-Vega, to be Associate Justice of the Holyoke District Court.
"This nominee will bring valuable legal expertise and life experiences with her to the District Court bench," Governor Patrick said. "I am honored to nominate Bethzaida Sanabria-Vega to serve the Commonwealth and the Holyoke community in this important judicial position and I thank her for her dedication to our justice system."
Bethzaida Sanabria-Vega has been a sole practitioner in Springfield for ten years, working on a variety of criminal and civil matters. Prior to opening her own practice, she was an Assistant District Attorney in Hampden County for over three years. She is a graduate of Boston College and University of Connecticut School of Law, and is a resident of Springfield. If confirmed, Sanabria-Vega will fill the vacancy on the Holyoke District Court created by the retirement of The Honorable William B. McDonough.
