Lieutenant Governor Murray Recognized as Legislator of the Year
Association of Career and Technical Education Presents Award at the State House
MVA nominated Lt. Governor Murray in recognition of his long record of strong support for vocational education. Over the last three years, Lt. Governor Murray has visited a number of vocational schools across the Commonwealth.
"I am honored to be recognized by ACTE as Legislator of the Year, and also appreciate our continued collaboration with MVA and MAVA," said Lieutenant Governor Timothy Murray. "Vocational education and training provides our students with a hands-on approach to learning in fields such as STEM education, which will help advance our young people to become future leaders of the Commonwealth's innovation economy."

ACTE is a national organization of vocational and career education teachers, consisting of 30,000 members. The organization is divided into five geographic regions. Region 1 contains the states of Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia.
