Governor Baker established the Supreme Judicial Court Nominating Commission (“SJC-NC”) pursuant to Executive Order No. 566 to recruit and consider a diverse and broad pool of applicants to fill the vacancies on the Commonwealth’s highest court.
The SJC-NC seeks applicants who possess the temperament, ability and integrity to freely, impartially and independently interpret the laws and administer justice. It also hopes to recruit applicants who represent not only the geographically diverse parts of the Commonwealth, but also the racial, ethnic, and gender diversity of our citizens.
Letters of Recommendation: Upon request by the SJC-NC, applicants who have been invited to an interview are permitted to submit up to 5 letters of recommendation to the Executive Director via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The SJC - NC Commissioners’ names are provided for informational purposes only. Pursuant to Executive Order No. 566 , Section 2.2.1, applicants may not communicate directly with the SJC - NC Commissioners.
