Welcome to the Office of Community Affairs
The Office of Community Affairs is your link between the community and the Office of the Governor; we seek to foster communication and relationships across the Commonwealth. Serving as the eyes and ears for the Office of the Governor, we attend and convene meetings with constituents to promote dialogue around Governor Baker and Lt. Governor Polito’s initiatives and policies. We are here make sure the many diverse voices throughout the Commonwealth are heard.
Community Affairs Director Anthony Richards is in constant communication with community organizations, law enforcement, non-profit and private organizations with the mission of connecting people, groups and organizations to resources and information within the administration as well as to hear their voices.

During Black History Month, Governor Charlie Baker and Lt. Governor Karyn Polito celebrated the launch of the Black Advisory Commission, signing an executive order and swearing-in several members of the commission who will advise on issues relating to the economic prosperity and well-being of the black community living in Massachusetts.
