A Proclamation
His Excellency Governor Deval L. Patrick
Whereas Project managers work to improve our quality of life by enhancing services and products, building new communities, restoring environments affected by natural disasters, and contributing to countless projects which grow the Commonwealth’s economy; and
Whereas These dedicated professionals and their teams exemplify the importance of leadership, cooperation, creativity, innovation, and perseverance; and
Whereas Project managers work tirelessly to bring value to the projects they manage by ensuring that projects meet the needs of their customer and are completed to the highest of professional standards; and
Whereas Massachusetts has benefitted greatly from the work of project management professionals on projects such as the construction of new homes , efficient highway systems, dynamic and green facilities for business, athletics, and entertainment, and other improvements for the public and private sectors; and
Whereas The first Thursday in November is International Project Management Day and it is appropriate to recognize the leadership capabilities of project managers in our communities, and their contribution to the Commonwealth’s sustainable economic growth,
Now, Therefore, I, Deval L. Patrick, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, do hereby proclaim November 3rd, 2011, to be
And urge all the citizens of the Commonwealth to take cognizance of this event and participate fittingly in its observance.
Given at the Executive Chamber in Boston, this twenty-fifth day of October, in the year two thousand and eleven, and of the Independence of the United States of America, the two hundred and thirty-fifth.
