A Proclamation
His Excellency Governor Deval L. Patrick
Whereas Bishop John M. Borders, III came to the Morning Star Baptist Church in Boston, Massachusetts in 1981; and
Whereas Under his leadership, membership at the Morning Star Baptist Church has grown from 75 to over 3,000 people; and
Whereas Bishop Borders has received many accolades throughout his tenure including the Martin Luther King Jr. Preaching Fellowship by Morehouse College in 2003; and
Whereas Today marks Bishop Borders’ 30th pastoral anniversary,
Now, Therefore, I, Deval L. Patrick, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, do hereby proclaim October 15th, 2011, to be
Williams Syndrome Awareness Week
And urge all the citizens of the Commonwealth to take cognizance of this event and participate fittingly in its observance.
Given at the Executive Chamber in Boston, this fourteenth day of October, in the year two thousand and eleven, and of the Independence of the United States of America, the two hundred and thirty-fifth.
