His Excellency Governor Deval L. Patrick
Whereas On March 10th, Tibetans around the world and in our Commonwealth gather to celebrate their cultural identity:and
Whereas Tibet, located in the world’s highest region in Central Asia, is often called the “Roof of the World”; and
Whereas Tibet’s cultural and artistic legacy is renowned throughout the world; and
Whereas Our vibrant Tibetan American community has made tremendous contributions to the Commonwealth’s society and culture,
Now, Therefore, I, Deval L. Patrick, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, do hereby proclaim March 10th, 2012, to be,
And urge all the citizens of the Commonwealth to take cognizance of this event and participate fittingly in its observance.
Given at the Executive Chamber in Boston, this second day of February, in the year two thousand and twelve, and of the Independence of the United States of America, the two hundred and thirty-fifth.
