A Proclamation
His Excellency Governor Deval L. Patrick
Whereas Children services organizations are responsible for providing quality care to children and their families in their local community settings; and
Whereas These setting range from residential programs to in-home therapy as children's services organizations are on the front lines in providing support, counseling and education to our most vulnerable population, our children; and
Whereas Children services organizations work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year to protect and care for the children of the Commonwealth and often receive little fanfare or recognition for their invaluable work and commitment to our youngest residents; and
Whereas It is appropriate f or the residents of the Commonwealth to recognize the important contributions of children's services organizations in the community, and their efforts to provide outstanding services that allow children and families to thrive in their home communities,
Now, Therefore, I, Deval L. Patrick, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, do hereby proclaim October 15th-19th to be,
CHILDREN SERVICES APPRECIATION WEEK
And urge all citizens of the Commonwealth to take cognizance of this event and participate fittingly in its observance.
