A Proclamation
His Excellency Governor Deval L. Patrick

 

Whereas On November 13th, 2013, the Home Care Aide Council’s 43rd Annual Award Ceremony for home care professionals will be held in Boxborough, Massachusetts; and  

Whereas Home care aides enable families, elders, and people with disabilities to live independently in their own communities; and

Whereas Home care aides are an anchor of the Massachusetts home care system and are valued by the Commonwealth and those individuals they serve; and

Whereas These devoted professionals fulfill their mission in a caring and compassionate manner which benefits elders and all members of the community; and

Whereas The effective delivery of these services is a central responsibility of the Executive Office of Elder Affairs through its 27 Aging Services Access Points, the Executive Office of Health and Human Services and the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission; and

Whereas The home care aides’ devotion to the welfare and well-being of those they serve is deserving of recognition and gratitude by all citizens of the Commonwealth,

Now, Therefore, I, Deval L. Patrick, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, do hereby proclaim November 13th, 2013, to be,

HOME CARE AIDE RECOGNITION DAY

And urge all the citizens of the Commonwealth to take cognizance of this event and participate fittingly in its observance.

Given at the Executive Chamber in Boston, this twelfth day of November, in the year two thousand and thirteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America, the two hundred and thirty-seventh.
