A Proclamation
His Excellency Governor Deval L. Patrick

Whereas Prosthodontics is the American Dental Association recognized specialty that encompasses diagnosing, treatment, planning, restoring and replacing the natural teeth in order; and

Whereas They have a highly skilled understanding of the dynamics of a smile, the preservation of a healthy mouth and the creation of tooth replacement; and

Whereas Many adults who do not replace missing teeth suffer from poor self-esteem, premature aging, poor diet, loss of function and social embarrassment; and

Whereas Through public awareness, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts seeks to inform our residents about the critical importance of oral health,

Now, Therefore, I, Deval L. Patrick, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, do hereby proclaim April 6th – 12th, 2014, to be,


And urge all the citizens of the Commonwealth to take cognizance of this event and participate fittingly in its observance.

Given at the Executive Chamber in Boston, this twenty-seventh day of March, in the year two thousand and fourteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America, the two hundred and thirty-seventh.
