A Proclamation
His Excellency Governor Deval L. Patrick

Whereas Administrative professionals play an essential role in coordinating the office operations of businesses, government, educational institutions, and other organizations; and

Whereas Today, the work of administrative professionals requires advanced knowledge and expertise in communications, computer software, office technology, project management, organization, customer service and other vital office management responsibilities; and

Whereas Administrative Professionals Week is observed annually in workplaces around the world to recognize the important contributions of administrative support staff and is sponsored by the International Association of Administrative Professionals; and

Whereas The theme for this week is “Be the One,” reflecting how today’s administrative professionals are continuously evolving for success in today's ever-changing business environment by defining  their profession’s focus into the future,

Now, Therefore, I, Deval L. Patrick, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, do hereby proclaim April 20th – 26th, 2014, to be,


And urge all the citizens of the Commonwealth to take cognizance of this event and participate fittingly in its observance.

Given at the Executive Chamber in Boston, this eleventh day of April, in the year two thousand and fourteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America, the two hundred and thirty-seventh.
