A Proclamation
His Excellency Governor Deval L. Patrick

 

Whereas Medical Billers are an integral and necessary part of the health care industry; and

Whereas Health care providers increasingly rely on medical billing companies to assist them in processing claims in accordance with applicable statues and regulations; and

Whereas Medical Billers provide a high level of ethical conduct throughout the health care industry;

Whereas Medical Billers provide program reimbursement requirements, ensure claims are properly handled and allow medical practitioners the freedom to devote themselves to the care of their patients; and

Whereas Medical Billers influence the health care process in a positive manner and the Commonwealth recognizes their role in providing excellent patient care and customer service,

Now, Therefore, I, Deval L. Patrick, Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, do hereby proclaim March 18, 2013, to be

MEDICAL BILLERS DAY

And urge all the citizens of the Commonwealth to take cognizance of this event and participate fittingly in its observance.

Given at the Executive Chamber in Boston, this twenty-first day of March, in the year thousand and thirteen, and of the Independence of the United States of America, the two hundred and thirty-sixth.
