GOVERNOR PATRICK ANNOUNCES MEMBERS OF STATEWIDE ANTI-CRIME COUNCIL
"Addressing violent crime requires a coordinated and comprehensive approach in order to provide and ensure stability in our communities," Governor Patrick said. "The members I appointed today bring a unique perspective to the table and I look forward to working with each of them to ensure that individuals and families feel safe on our streets."
The new, multi-agency, multi-disciplinary Anti-Crime Council will focus on the present challenges facing crime victims, social service providers and Massachusetts law enforcement organizations. The council will produce coordinated law enforcement, including strategies for intercepting gun and drug trafficking as well as for early intervention and prevention.
The Governor will chair the Council that will meet on a monthly basis.
