Governor Patrick Nominates Malden District court Clerk-magistrate

BOSTON- Tuesday, July 1, 2008 - Governor Patrick announced today the nomination of Marybeth Brady of Braintree as Clerk-Magistrate in the Malden District Court.

"Marybeth Brady's extensive experience in the Trial Court will be a great asset to the Malden District Court. As the judicial officer primarily responsible for the administration of the Court's business, Ms. Brady will work closely with the Justices and staff to ensure that people coming before the Court receive the justice they deserve," said Governor Patrick.

Marybeth Brady, a graduate of Suffolk University, has served as Assistant Clerk-Magistrate in Suffolk Superior Criminal Court since 1985. She is Chair of the Superior Criminal Clerks' Time Standards Committee and a member of the Supreme Judicial Court's Advisory Committee on Ethical Opinions for Clerks of Court. She was awarded the Trial Court Employee Excellence Award in 2006.

Brady is nominated to fill the vacancy created by the death of Joseph A. Croken who died on Dec. 4 th, 2007.
