Governor Patrick Nominates Accomplished Local Lawyer to the Greenfield District Court
"Bill Mazanec is well-respected throughout Franklin County for his legal skills, temperament, integrity and long-standing commitment to the local community," said Governor Patrick. "He will be an exceptional addition to the Greenfield District Court."
Mazanec, a graduate of Springfield College and Western New England School of Law, began his career as a prosecutor with the Northwestern District Attorney's Office. Since 1994, Mazanec has been a sole practitioner, representing individuals in a range of criminal, civil, and family law litigation.
A Shelburne resident, Mazanec was born and raised in Franklin County. Over the years, he has dedicated a significant amount of time to his community through activities such as coaching youth sports and promoting local governmental reforms.
Mazanec is slated to fill the vacancy on the Greenfield District Court created by the retirement of First Justice Herbert H. Hodos.
