Governor Patrick Nominates Maher to Industrial Accident Board

BOSTON - Tuesday, August 05, 2008 - Governor Deval Patrick today announced the nomination of Dennis M. Maher for the position of Administrative Judge on the Industrial Accident Board. The Industrial Accident Board presides over administrative hearings involving workers' compensation claims.

Dennis M. Maher of Northborough currently serves as counsel at the Law Offices of Black & Bynoe where he specializes in workers' compensation defense. Previously, Maher worked at the home office of Liberty Mutual and the town of Wellesley's Department of Public Works. Maher is a 1989 Suffolk University Law School graduate. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree at Framingham State College in 1975. Maher has also previously served as a City Council member for the city of Marlboro from 1979-1985. Maher is currently involved in many community organizations including the Board of Directors of Northborough Youth and Family Services Inc.
