GOVERNOR PATRICK APPOINTS NEW MEMBER TO MASSACHUSETTS PORT AUTHORITY

BOSTON - Monday, February 11, 2008 - Governor Deval Patrick today announced that he has appointed James A. Aloisi Jr., to the Massachusetts Port Authority Board.

"James brings a tremendous amount of energy and talent to the Massport board," said Governor Patrick. "His presence will add an invaluable perspective to board deliberations."

Aloisi, a transportation law expert at Goulston and Storrs and a longtime Massachusetts public servant, brings 30 years of dedicated public service and experience to Massport. Aloisi was an Assistant Attorney General for five years, he then served as Chief Legal Counsel to the Massachusetts Department of Revenue, Assistant Secretary of the Executive Office of Transportation and Construction, and he served as General Counsel to the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority until 1996.

Massport produces more than $8 billion for the region's economy every year and employs more than 20,000 people.
