Governor Patrick Nominates Accomplished Civil Litigator to the Worcester Superior Court
"Richard Tucker is among the most experienced and accomplished trial lawyers in the state. He has spent the better part of his 32 year career trying cases in the Superior Court to which he is now nominated and has come to know the Court inside and out," Governor Patrick said. "Tucker is tough but fair, ethical and respectful - someone in whom the public will have confidence seeing behind the bench hearing their cases."
An avid runner and marathoner, Tucker served in the United States Army prior to law school and attained the rank of Specialist 5. Tucker's achievements are well recognized by his peers, who selected him as Fellow to the American College of Trial Lawyers, where he was appointed to the State Committee and served for two years as Chairman.
Tucker is slated to fill the vacancy on the Worcester Superior Court created by the elevation of Judge Francis R. Fecteau to the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
