GOVERNOR PATRICK ANNOUNCES NOMINATION OF EXPERIENCED CIRCUIT JUSTICE TO THE BERKSHIRE PROBATE AND FAMILY COURT
"Judge Simons has established a fine reputation as a Circuit Justice of the Probate and Family Court, and is very well respected in the Berkshire community," Governor Patrick said. "I am pleased that this nomination will allow him to serve the needs of the Berkshire Probate and Family Court on a permanent basis, and I thank him for his continued dedication to the Commonwealth and the fair administration of justice".
Judge Simons has been a Circuit Justice of the Probate and Family Court since March, 2008 and is currently serving as the First Justice of the Berkshire Probate and Family Court. He is a resident of Pittsfield and a graduate of Union College (cum laude, 1981) and Boston University School of Law (1985). He is slated to fill the vacancy at the Berkshire Probate and Family Court created by the retirement of the Honorable Edward J. Lapointe.
