GOVERNOR PATRICK ANNOUNCES NOMINATION OF EXPERIENCED SPRINGFIELD ATTORNEY TO THE SUPERIOR COURT BENCH
BOSTON – Tuesday, November 22, 2011 – Governor Deval Patrick today announced the nomination of Springfield attorney John S. Ferrara as Associate Justice of the Superior Court.
“I am pleased to nominate such an experienced and respected attorney to serve on the Superior Court,” said Governor Patrick. “It is an honor to nominate John Ferrara to the judiciary and I thank him for his willingness to serve.”
John S. Ferrara has 27 years of experience practicing civil and criminal law at the Springfield firm of Dalsey, Ferrara and Albano. His practice includes a combination of complex medical malpractice cases and criminal defense in murder and other serious felony cases. Ferrara resides in Wilbraham and serves as Secretary and Board member of the Hampden County Lawyers for Justice. He graduated from University of Massachusetts, Amherst (B.S. magna cum laude, 1975) and Western New England School of Law (J.D., 1983). Ferrara is slated to fill the vacancy created by the retirement of the Honorable C. Brian McDonald.
