BOSTON – Tuesday, December 11, 2012 – Governor Deval Patrick today welcomed Hungarian Ambassador to the United States György Szapáry to the Massachusetts State House. Ambassador Szapáry’s visit to Massachusetts served as an opportunity for the two leaders to discuss the potential for future economic development collaboration between Hungary and Massachusetts. Ambassador Szapáry was appointed in January 2011.
Governor Patrick has focused on advancing Massachusetts’ relationships around the world in order to compete in the 21st century global economy. In addition to his meeting with Hungarian Ambassador to the United States Szapáry, Governor Patrick has led delegations of business, academic and government leaders to Brazil, Chile, Israel, the United Kingdom and China.
