GOVERNOR PATRICK ANNOUNCES JUVENILE COURT CLERK-MAGISTRATE NOMINATION
BOSTON – Wednesday, June 18, 2014 – Governor Deval Patrick today announced the nomination of J. David Bowie to the position of clerk-magistrate of the Juvenile Court, Barnstable County-Town of Plymouth Division.
“I am pleased to nominate an experienced and highly respected court employee to this important management position,” said Governor Patrick. “I thank David Bowie for his demonstrated commitment to the efficient and fair administration of justice in the Juvenile Court.”
J. David Bowie began his service in the clerk’s office of the Barnstable County-Town of Plymouth Division of the Juvenile Court in 1998, working as an assistant clerk for 14 years and as the acting clerk-magistrate since December 2012. Prior to 1998, Bowie worked in Texas as a project manager for a consulting firm, a CPA and a tax specialist. He is a graduate of Abilene Christian University (B.S. in Education, 1974, and B.S. in Business Administration, 1983). Bowie resides in Dennis. If confirmed, he will fill the clerk-magistrate vacancy created by the retirement of The Honorable Charles P. Andrade.
