The mission at Camp Edwards is to facilitate the training, mobilization and security of the National Guard, Army Reserve and Active Component units in support of Federal, State and community missions.

Camp Edwards is located on Cape Cod in Massachusetts at the Massachusetts Military Reservation. We have over 11,000 acres of land available for realistic combat training.  Maneuver areas are conducive to all types of Lanes Training.  This area is  subdivided into 23 designated training areas, with most having permanent latrines.  All types of units train at Camp Edwards, including Combat Arms, Combat Support and Combat Service Support.

The Massachusetts National Guard first used the reservation’s training area in 1911 for artillery firing and field training.  In 1935 it was officially established and named Camp Edwards.

Camp Edwards is located on three major roadways leading to Cape Cod; Rt. 495, Rt. 3, and Rt. 6.  It is within driving distance to three Airports; Hyannis – 20 miles, T.F. Green – 65 miles, and Logan International – 75 miles.  The base has two 9500-foot runways capable of supporting any type of aircraft and 8.8 miles of government railway.
