Maneuver areas are conducive to all types of Lanes Training.
This area is subdivided into 23 designated training areas.
All types of units train at Camp Edwards, including Combat Arms,

The
reservation’s training area was first used by the Massachusetts
National Guard in 1911 for artillery firing and field training.
In 1935 it was officially established and named Camp Edwards.
The
Camp Edwards mission is to provide year-round training facilities to
support units of the Massachusetts National Guard and other
organizations including other Armed Forces components, Law Enforcement
agencies, and civilian organizations.
Camp
Edwards is located on three major roadways leading to Cape Cod; Rt. 495,
Rt. 3, and Rt. 6. It is
within driving distance to three Airports; Hyannis – 20 miles, T.F.
Green – 65 miles, and Logan International – 75 miles.
The base has two 9500 foot runways capable of supporting any type
of aircraft and 8.8 miles of government railway.
