The Massachusetts National Guard can provide color guards, displays and flyovers for patriotic events including parades, dedications, fairs and others.
To request support, draft a letter on organizational letterhead listing the type of support you are looking for (a military vehicle to drive in a parade, for example), what the event is, where and when it is taking place and a point of contact to coordinate with.
You can fax, mail or scan and e-mail the request to:

The Massachusetts National Guard will only provide support to events that are:
- Of interest to, or for the benefit of, the community as a whole
- Accessible to all without regard to gender, race, creed, color or national
origin
The Massachusetts National Guard will NOT support events that:
- Promote an organization's private or political objectives
- Charge an admission fee specifically for the observation of Guard participation
- Exclude people from participation because of gender, race, creed, color or national origin
- Benefit or favor a commercial venture or political party
- Seek to use Guard members as escorts, ushers, guards, parking lot attendants or
messengers
When supporting events, the Massachusetts National Guard cannot appear to endorse any person, corporation (profit or nonprofit), religion, ideological movement, fraternal organization, political party or commercial venture. The services provided by the Guard also cannot compete with the civilian labor force.
|
Massachusetts National Guard Armories are provided for the armed services of the commonwealth, but they may also available for use by the public sector when not in use for military purposes.
