How
to do business with the USPFO-MA
The Purchasing and Contracting Division
uses the Standard Army Automated Contracting System. A feature of this
system is the identification of services and supplies provided by our
commercial vendors. The solicitation mailing list uses the rotation
requirements of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. If your firm would
like to be added to our vendor file, you must complete a Standard Form 129
and submit it to this office. To obtain a SF 129, contact the program
administrator at (508) 233-6661.
To establish the specific types of
services and materials that your firm is most interested in providing, you
should request from this office a Standard Army Automated Contracting
System Vendor Information Program Pamphlet. This booklet contains specific
instructions about how to correctly annotate the Federal Supply Class/Code
categories.
In order to do business with this office for most actions between
$2,500.00 and $100,000.00, your firm must be capable of the use of
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). EDI is the process of exchanging
business information much faster and more cheaply than a paper based
system. For more information on Electronic Data Exchange, contact one of
your local procurement centers or Orange Electronic Commerce Resource
Center, ATTN: Linda Stoudemayer, 300 North Fourth Street, Orange, Texas
77630-5702, Phone Number (800) 417-3950 or contact The USPFO-MA at (508)
233-6667.
Most of our actions over $100,000.00 will be either construction or
architect/engineer firm-fixed price type contracts. In order to become
aware of the projects that we are putting on solicitation, you must be
capable of receiving or viewing the Commerce Business Daily (CDB). The
Commerce Business Daily is a daily list of U.S. Government procurement
invitations, contract awards, subcontracting leads, sales of surplus
property and foreign business opportunities. To obtain subscription
information about the CBD, contact the Superintendent of Documents,
Government Printing Office, Washington, D.C. 20402-9371, Phone Number
(202) 512-1800
