Whether
you’re young, old, married, single, or a parent, the best
way to get ready for mobilization/deployment is to do it today.
Family readiness can improve your Quality of Life.
PREPARATION • SEPARATION • REUNION
The
period before mobilization/deployment can be a confusing and
stressful time. Many personal and family matters need to
be in place or arranged prior to a deployment. By being prepared,
these arrangements will not seem as overwhelming, especially
if time is limited. Planning ahead and knowing the requirements
is essential. Key considerations apply for single as well
as married service members and their families. Planning ahead
involves getting information and determining what is needed
so that important decisions can be made. Making preparations
for emergencies which may arise during the deployment is
also
critical. It is important to plan for mobility processing
as well as situations during and after the deployment. These
resources,
Planning Ahead Guide for Deployments and Personal/Family
Deployment Readiness Checklist will help address the needs of
all service
members and families to plan ahead with matters such as:
√ PERSONAL
MATTERS
√ LEGAL MATTERS
√ FINANCIAL MATTERS
√ PRACTICAL MATTERS
