Directions to the RTI and Camp Edwards, Mass.

Driving Directions:

From all points NORTH, take Interstate 495 South toward Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Interstate 495 South will eventually end and become State Route 25 East. State Route 25 is a divided four-lane highway. You will not have to exit Interstate 495 to enter onto State Route 25. Stay on SR 25 until the Bourne Bridge. Cross the Bourne Bridge and follow around the Bourne Rotary, to State Route 28 South. Take State Route 28 South for approximately 5 miles to the next Rotary. Follow the Rotary, until you see signs for the Massachusetts National Cemetery and the Massachusetts Military Reservation (MMR). The entrance to MMR is approximately 3/4 of the way around the Rotary. It is marked with signs for US Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod. Follow the MMR access road straight through to the Main Gate. Proceed through the gate to the first blinking light and take a right onto Turpentine Road follow to the next blinking light go straight you'll see Camp Edwards Billeting Office on your left, then the base Movie Theater, Twining Hall and the next building is the RTI Bldg #5222, Turpentine Road.

From all POINTS WEST on Cape Cod: Take State Route 6 West toward Falmouth to State Route 28 North. Stay on State Route 28 North until you reach the National Cemetery Rotary and follow directions above to the RTI.

From all OTHER POINTS on Cape Cod, follow directions above from State Route 28 North or South to the RTI.

Commercial Air:

If you are attending an Active Duty for Training Course and will be traveling via Commercial Air, you should make arrangements to fly into Barnstable Municipal Airport. Government transportation from Barnstable Municipal Airport to Camp Edwards and the RTI is available at no charge only with advance notification of arrival time. A copy of your airline itinerary should be received at the RTI at least five days prior to your scheduled reporting date or as soon as you have confirmation of your arriving flight. You may send your itinerary by either Fax (COMM: 508-968-5969/DSN: 557-5969) or mail (HQ, 101st Regiment (RTI) ATTN: Operations and Training, Building #5222 Turpentine Road, Camp Edwards, MA 02542-5003). Soldiers who fail to provide advance notification of flight arrival time may incur a delay in ground transportation to Camp Edwards and the RTI. The cost of a taxi from the airport to the base is approximately $40.

Military Air:

Soldiers traveling by military aircraft to Camp Edwards should be certain to schedule their arrival for the ARMY National Guard side of the airfield, NOT the Air National Guard portion of the airfield. As soon as you have confirmation of your arrival time at the airfield, you should contact the RTI to coordinate ground transportation to our Headquarters.
