COMMANDER'S WELCOME:
Welcome to the 101st Regiment (Regional Training Institute) website.
This website has been prepared to provide information to the student
soldiers of all components we teach, to the soldiers assigned
to the 101st Regiment and to the public to whom we are ultimately
responsible.
The 101st Regiment (RTI), formerly known as the
Massachusetts Military Academy, boasts a rich and proud history.
In 1913, the Academy began training its first class of Officer
Candidates. In 1951, we became the first National Guard State
Officer Candidate School in the United States to earn full accreditation.
In 1974, we took on the responsibility of training the men and
women of our Noncommissioned Officer Corps with the first Noncommissioned
Officer's Academy Class. Years later, units continue to send their
NCO's to the 101st Regiment (RTI) to be trained.
Years ago, with the reorganization of the Army's education system
into what is now known as the Total Army
School System (TASS),
the 101st Regiment (RTI) was given a mission to train Field Artillery
soldiers in and throughout New York, New England, and New Jersey.
Today the Regiment is home to 1st
Field Artillery Training Battalion, Region A, which is
responsible for Field Artillery MOSQ and NCOES training through
skill level four.
Whether you are an incoming student, assigned to the 101st Regiment,
or are a member of the public whom we serve, I sincerely hope
that the information contained in this website is accurate, up
to date, and answers any questions you may have about training
at the 101st Regiment (RTI).
If after searching through our site, you have questions about
any of our training programs, feel free to call any of the points
of contact listed on our site.
Our staff will update this site regularly to keep you current
on the activities of the 101st Regiment (RTI) and our continuing
missions.
Again, welcome to the 101st Regiment!
