Promotion of Massachusetts’ innovation economy and supporting ecosystem is a key component of the Commonwealth’s international economic development strategy. As the Commonwealth looks to grow jobs, expand export markets and develop further relationships for foreign direct investment, Governor Patrick has lead teams of business executives, academic leaders and senior government official on targeted economic development missions abroad. Organized through the Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment, the principle objective of these economic development missions is to present Massachusetts’ globally competitive advantages, explore economic development and job growth opportunities for the Commonwealth, expand export markets and develop further relationships for foreign direct investment within Massachusetts’ key innovation based industries.
