Communities across the Commonwealth want, and need, to fully participate in Massachusetts’ nationally-leading innovation economy. The goal of the Baker-Polito Administration, through the work of the Executive Office of Housing and Economic Development (EOHED) is to ensure that communities have the tools, information and resources they need in order to have their local and regional innovation ecosystems thrive.

Community Based Innovation Data

HED based the Community Based Innovation strategy around a scan of the statewide innovation ecosystem. This scan resulted in an innovation asset mapping database that shows many of the innovation related spaces, programs, organizations and connections happening in each town across Massachusetts. HED is releasing this database on their website for use and view of communities and also requesting that members of the innovation community continue to suggest assets for inclusion in the map as ecosystems continues to evolve.
