What you need   for Agricultural Composting Improvement Grant Program (ACIP)

The goal of the Agricultural Composting Improvement Program (ACIP) is to help agricultural composters improve the overall management of their agricultural composting operations and facilitate on-farm compost use. 

The Request for Response (RFR) and the application are both within the specific COMMBUYS Bid Solicitation link found here.

Who Can Apply: 

  • Registered agricultural composters
  • Agricultural composting farms exempt from registration 
  • Agricultural composters in the process of applying for registration prior to release of this grant 

Eligible Projects: 

New equipment or facility upgrades which meet the goals of the Program.
Project examples:

  • Screeners
  • Spreaders
  • Turners
  • Mixers
  • Windrow Covers
  • Compost Pads
  • Improved Technology Systems

Maximum Funding:

Maximum funding per applicant is 75% of total project or equipment costs up to a maximum of $75,000.

Applications MUST be sent electronically (via email) to Dorothy.Du@mass.gov. The deadline for response is August 28, 2023 at 4:00 PM. Late applications will not be accepted.
