The Office of the Inspector General is dedicated to preventing and detecting fraud, waste, and abuse in the expenditure of public funds.  Much of our work is confidential, but when the staff completes a project, the Inspector General may issue a letter or report detailing findings and recommending reforms to prevent future problems.  In addition, the OIG publishes manuals, guides and advisories to assist the effectiveness and efficiency of public officials.

In general, our publications are listed in reverse chronological order by date published. If you are unable to find what you are looking for, please try the search box located at the top of this page.  You may search the Inspector General's website or all of Mass.Gov.

Most of our publications are available as Web pages or PDF files. A free PDF reader may be downloaded from Adobe Systems, Inc.

Some archive publications are available only in print.

If you prefer a printed version of any publication, or need a publication that is only available in print, please call or send a written request to the Inspector General's Office.
