The Attorney General’s Office recommends mandated training on procurement practices by the Office of the Inspector General for all Housing Authority Executive Directors and staff charged with the oversight of public projects. The recommendation came out of the Attorney General’s investigation of Robert Covelle, who as executive director of the Medford Housing Authority, failed to follow M.G.L. c.30B and M.G.L. c.149, which govern procurements by local governmental bodies, including housing authorities.
