Mr. Jones of North Reading, Ms. Rogeness of Longmeadow, Mr. Peterson of Grafton, Mr. Lepper of Attleboro and Mr. deMacedo of Plymouth move that the bill be amended by adding the following section: —

      “SECTION ___.  Chapter 45 of the acts of 2005 is hereby amended by striking out section 24 and inserting in place thereof the following new section:--

Section 24. For fiscal years 2006 and thereafter, the total amount allocated for distribution to cities and towns pursuant to section 35 of chapter 10 of the General Laws shall be determined pursuant to said section 35 of chapter 10 and notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary.

      Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2006 any amounts distributed to cities and towns of the balance of the State Lottery Fund in excess of the amounts set forth in section 3 of chapter 45 of the acts of 2005 shall be included in the fourth quarter payments to the cities and towns to reflect increased distribution pursuant to section 1 of this act.”
