REPRESENTATIVES MICHAEL RODRIGUES of WESTPORT and DEMETRIUS ATSALIS of BARNSTABLE and others move that the bill be amended in section 2, in item 7003-0702, by adding the following:-

“provided further, that not less than $125,000 shall be expended for the maintenance and support of the 1199SEIU Training and Upgrading Fund, so-called, which shall be established as a joint partnership with certain healthcare employers throughout the Commonwealth in an effort to support and develop a workforce development strategy to address healthcare labor shortages”.
