REPRESENTATIVE TORRISI of NORTH ANDOVER and REPRESENTATIVE RODRIGUES of WESTPORT move that the bill be amended in section 2, inserting new line item 7007-1111 and adding the following item:

“7007-1111- For the department of business and technology for grants administered by the department; provided, however, that not less than $2,000,000 shall be made available for grants to community development corporations, community development financial institutions, or other private, not-for-profit community based organizations for the purpose of providing technical assistance or training programs to businesses with 20 employees or fewer; provided, however, that no single community development corporation, community development financial institution, or other private, not-for-profit community based organization shall receive a grant of more than $75,000 in any one fiscal year; provided, further, that the department shall annually, on or before December 31, file a report with the house and senate committees on ways and means, and the joint committee on economic development and emerging technologies………………………………………………………………………$2,000,000”
