Representative Costello of Newburyport moves that the bill be amended in section 2, in item 1102-3301 by adding at the end thereof the following:

“provided further that not less than $80,000 shall be expended to repair the hazardous, state-owned granite steps adjacent to the historic, Bullfinch Superior Courthouse in Newburyport, the oldest continually-operating courthouse in the country. This will complete the renovation of the 206-year-old Bartlet Mall.”
