Mr. Kocot of Northampton moves to amend the bill in section 2, by inserting after item 1599-3857 the following new item: 

“1599-3858        For assistance to councils on aging, senior centers and local housing authorities to purchase furniture, vehicles, appliances and other fixtures to improve the recreational and educational services offered to senior citizens, said assistance to be disbursed pursuant to regulations established by the division of housing and community development in consultation with the Massachusetts Senior Action Council no later than January 1, 2008                                                   $2,000,000”
