Mr. Pedone of Worcester moves to amend the bill, in section 2, by striking out the following item:-

 

“7061-0029     For the office of educational quality and accountability established under section 55A of chapter 15 of the General Laws……………………………..$2,974,554”

 

Mr. Pedone further moves to amend the bill, in section 2, in item 7061-0012, by striking out the following words:-

 

“;provided further, that in order to facilitate such monitoring, the department may allocate funds from this item to item 7061-0029, as necessary, pursuant to allocation plans submitted to the house and senate committees on ways and means 30 days prior to any transfer”

 

Mr. Pedone further moves to amend the bill, in section 2, by inserting after item 1599-6901 the following item;-

 

“1599-7011 For a comprehensive review of the state's education accountability system including a plan for a streamlined, effective system that meets the educational goals of the entire state and provides schools and districts with the professional assistance necessary to improve teaching and learning for all students…………………$300,000”
