Representatives Balser of Newton, Malia of Boston, Koutoujian of Waltham, Richardson of Framingham, Sannicandro of Ashland, Grant of Beverly, Brownsberger of Belmont, Richardson of Framingham, Lantigua of Lawrence, Fresolo of Worcester, O’Day of West Boylston, Callahan of Sutton, DiNatale of Fitchburg, Flanagan of Leominster, Atkins of Concord, Clark of Melrose, Fernandes of Milford, Provost of Somerville, and Khan of Newton, move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 5046-0000, by adding the following: “; provided further, that $200,000 shall be expended for jail diversion programs; provided further, that of that $200,000, $100,000 shall be expended for the jail diversion program in Framingham; provided further, that not less than $300,000 shall be expended for a pre-arrest jail diversion grant program at the Department of Mental Health for five (5) new programs.”
