Representatives Balser of Newton, Brownsberger of Belmont, Sciortino of Medford, Richardson of Framingham, Fresolo of Worcester, Grant of Beverly, O’Day of West Boylston, Callahan of Sutton,  Provost of Somerville, DiNatale of Fitchburg, Flanagan of Leominster, and Khan of Newton, move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4408-1000, in line 10, by striking out the following: “provided further, that the payment standard shall equal the payment standard in effect under the general relief program in fiscal year 1991;” and inserting in place thereof the following: “provided further, that the payment standard shall equal the payment standard in effect under the general relief program in fiscal year 1991, unless the department determines that a higher payment standard may be applied without exceeding the amount appropriated by this item;”.
